| Monday 26th I attended the regular meeting of the lodge at Prescot Masonic Hall. I was unfortunately delayed due to traffic problems but when I entered the lodge I was pleasantly surprised to see so many people in attendance. The Senior Deacon for the night was Peter Connolly. Acting as Master Overseer was Richard Wilson and as Junior Warden W. Bro Eric Poole all of whom are members of West Lancs Mark Lodge No 65, and W. Bro David Southward acting as Junior Deacon. |

| Prescot Mark had been suffering from low numbers but after last night’s ceremony and the announcements of more candidates and 2 joining members the Lodge can only go forward. |
| The acting Worshipful Master W.Bro Ged Paton, the IPM, invited W. Bro Norman Stringfellow to occupy the chair and conduct the advancement ceremony which he did in his usual faultless manner. The Worshipful Master requested that R. W. Bro Peter Connolly continue to act as Senior Deacon who conducted the candidate in his usual exemplary manner, I am quite sure the candidate W. Bro. Leslie Newman a past master of Hardshaw Lodge was suitably impressed. |
| At the festive board after the meeting W. Bro Mike Clarke presented the candidate with his own copy of the “little blue book”. All in all it was a splendid evening with the lodge room and the festive board well populated. |
